I have a love-hate relationship with writing. I find it very difficult to get going but I love it once I sit down and do it. Life got busy, I stopped writing and I never started again. I don’t want to be a self-proclaimed LinkedIn visionary :). I just want to get better at writing. I read somewhere that most authors put their success down to practice no matter how little. I pledged today that for the next year I will write at least 150 words a day (I am already on 58!). It doesn’t matter what I write about as long as it loosely aligned with “Forget the Noise”.
My Sunday thought? I recently read “Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fck”. It was the inspiration for my pledge. It sits high on my recommended reading list. You can find it on Amazon here or Takealot here.
According the back cover, Mark Manson “has been working on correcting our delusional expectations for ourselves and the world”. Some the thinking can be applied to your investment portfolio. It may just save you from moving your entire investment portfolio into cash (an idiotic move in itself but a topic for another day) if Dlamini-Zuma becomes the next ANC president.
